SoFA Design Institute faculty work hard to ensure our students earn an excellent education. Under their watch, a step-by-step process merges creativity with technical skills and business smarts. This is how we prepare students for what lies ahead.

There are many components to design education - both inside and outside the classroom. To that end, SoFA Design Institute also delivers the most innovative, inspiring, and fun program of educational travel around. This year alone, we are offering design immersion trips to Thailand, Japan, Italy, and Israel. These adventures are not just for the SoFA community - but to anyone keen on broadening their horizons. Israel Design Tour

From the ancient stones of Jerusalem to the seaside vibe of Tel Aviv, Israeli cities reflect centuries of sophistication and evolution. SoFA Design Institute's 8 day voyage through Israel’s history, culture, art, and cuisine will explore these organic hubs of creativity. The tour will be supplemented by local experts in art, architecture, and urbanism. We will not only be introduced to the spiritual home of Christianity, Judaism, and Islam - but will experience some of the most fascinating cities in the world.

Italy Design Tour

SoFA Design Institute presents a remarkable travel experience created especially for the interior design and architecture communities - a CPD granting tour of Northern Italy. Our Academic Chair for Interior Design, Denise Ayado, a graduate of Florence Institute of Design International, will lead this unique adventure.

Alongside several experts in Italian art, history, and design, participants will be taken through an exploration of the historical and urban cultures of Florence, Pisa, Milan, Sienna and Venice. Throughout the course of the program, we will be visiting historical, architectural, and artistic landmarks in the Renaissance city of Florence. Day tours in Pisa, and Siena will also expose professionals to the art and culture of the nearby cities. As a special treat, the itinerary will also include a guided tour of the 2019 edition of the famed Venice Art Biennale.

Tokyo Design Tour

If the thought of a whirlwind tour of Tokyo's fashion and interiors ecosystems sounds exciting then you better register for our 'Tokyo Design World" tour in October. Mads Constantino, SoFA Design Institute's Head of Student Affairs, who trained in Tokyo for Fashion Design Business Management, will lead you through unique neighborhoods that are off the beaten track. She will not only introduce participants to the best of Japanese design and food cultures but ensure they experience how the Japanese commitment to history, identity and quality promotes a standard of design and production second to none.
